Our team

HCi Viocare is fortunate in having its clinical care headed up by Brian Maguire, a nationally recognised HCPC registered prosthetist/orthotist with extensive NHS and private experience.

Your care is supported by a small group of specialist providers of rehabilitation services, selected on a case-by-case basis according to clients’ needs.

Your first experience with our clinic, however, will be the warm welcome you will receive from Lynda Kyle, our receptionist and Office Manager.

Leading the in-house workshop is George Lawrence, our Senior Technician, busily manufacturing the prescribed prosthetic and orthotic solutions with a distinctive mix of old-school and high-tech techniques.

Our philosophy is that of “Keizer”; continuous improvement in every aspect of our work. To achieve this our team frequently participate in national and international seminars, workshops and exhibitions in the field of prosthetics and orthotics, organised by industry leading institutes and manufacturers. This allows them to keep up-to-date with new technologies, new techniques and scientific advantages in the field.

Lynda Kyle
Office Manager

Lynda exemplifies the openness and friendliness long associated with people from Glasgow.

Lynda has joined HCi Viocare after an extensive career in larger firms, including BUPA Care Homes and Scottish Power.

When not at work Lynda can be found volunteering at a whole variety of sporting events in and around Glasgow as well as giving up her time to support local charities.

The team was hand-selected by Bill Spence, who set up the clinic prior to his retirement, to ensure continuity in excellence of care for the clients he supported during his long career as a leading prosthetist and academic.

Our R&D division is headed up by Dr Christos Kapatos, who holds a PhD in Bio-engineering from the University of Strathclyde. His team of geniuses squirrel away on top-secret projects upstairs from the clinic. See for news on what we are working on.
